Medicare.gov provides eligibility, enrollment and benefits information for Medicare, the national health insurance program for people age 65+ and certain people younger than 65.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, publishes the website. Content is by CMS.

Your Medicare Coverage Options explains the two basic options for Medicare coverage: Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage. (Other sources, such as AARP, provide more detailed information about how to choose between these options.)
