American Hospital Directory, Inc. (AHD) publishes the website. AHD compiles its information based on sources such as publicly reported data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Tips for use:
– Use the search box on the home page to find a hospital by name or city. Use advanced search to find hospitals by area code, zip code or the first three digits of a zip code. Additional search fields in gray require a subscription.
– The profile for each hospital lists its website; services offered; Joint Commission accreditation; whether it is a teaching hospital; whether it is non-profit; financial and usage statistics; and, for some hospitals, a performance score (TPS) and patient experience ratings based on information from CMS.
