The American Cancer Society (ACS), a nonprofit organization, publishes the website. The website lists the names and qualifications of the individuals responsible for the website’s medical content. The American Society of Clinical Oncology, a professional organization, collaborates with the ACS.
All About Cancer includes information by cancer type as well as general information on understanding cancer; risk and prevention; screening, diagnosis and staging; cancer care; coping and survivorship; caregiving; and financial/insurance; a section for healthcare professionals (with guidelines for prevention and early detection); and videos about cancer treatment, caregiver support (with caregiver training videos); and survivorship.
Programs & Services includes a 24/7 help line; resources for help with rides to treatment and lodging during treatment away from home; programming for holistic well-being at its Hope Lodges; opportunities to connect with other patients, survivors and caregivers; cancer navigation support; and free estate planning tools.
